Dan Reiter lives on a dissolving barrier island in Florida.
His experiments with short-form fiction have been published or are forthcoming in Kenyon Review, Ploughshares, Tin House, Shenandoah, McSweeney's, Florida Review, Bellevue Literary Review, American Short Fiction, and elsewhere.
Dan's non-fiction appears in The Surfer's Journal, The Millions, Lit Hub, Brooklyn Magazine, USA Today, Surfer, The Rumpus, and The Offing.
His first book––On a Rising Swell––released in 2025.
